About the Group:
The crystal structure plays a crucial role in the properties of solids, thereby directly impacting their technological applications. The research lines of this research group aim to apply various techniques for the preparation and characterization of crystalline solids to rationally design properties relevant for industrial use. On one hand, the goal is to contribute to applying crystal engineering methods in the production of pharmaceuticals with good biopharmaceutical properties, with a special emphasis on producing new polymorphs, co-crystals, solvates, hydrates, salts, etc. On the other hand, multifunctional materials are developed with the aim of understanding the processes that give rise to their properties and optimizing them for integration into devices.

About the Group:
An experimental physics research group dedicated to the development of new materials, devices, and sensors exploring nanoscopic properties. The group coordinates three research laboratories: a nanomaterial growth laboratory, a low-temperature optical properties characterization laboratory, and a low-temperature electrical properties characterization laboratory. The group traditionally focuses on materials for photovoltaic applications but has recently ventured into biomaterials and artificial intelligence.

About the Group:
The GMF - Ferroic Materials Group, located in the Department of Physics at the Federal University of São Carlos, has been conducting fundamental and applied research on ferroic materials since the 1980s. The group involves human resources at all levels: technicians (both at the medium and higher levels), undergraduate students, postgraduates, and postdoctoral researchers. Research and extension projects are developed within the group and in collaboration with researchers and research groups, both nationally and internationally. Currently, GMF has extensive experience in the development and applications of ferroelectric, piezoelectric, electrooptic, and multiferroic materials, with complete infrastructure for electroceramic development. The group also has facilities to characterize various properties (structural, electrical, dielectric, piezoelectric, ferroelectric, elastic, magnetoelastic, and electrooptic) of materials.
